Horizon
The Quiet Horizon Kiln Mug was designed around one simple moment: that first sip of coffee when the room is still and the light just touches the edge of the table.
Our potter started by sketching the mug on a wooden tray—just like in your photo—then built the form to feel like a small landscape in your hands. The wide base is slightly darker, like earth warmed by the sun, and the glaze gradually lightens toward the rim, creating a soft “horizon line” all the way around the cup. When you pour in coffee or tea, the dark surface meets this pale rim and looks almost like sunrise.
The handle is pulled and shaped by hand so your thumb naturally lands on the top curve. The wall of the mug is slightly thicker at the bottom to hold heat, and subtly thinner toward the lip so every sip feels comfortable, not heavy.
